So, about those new projects...
/You may recall the distant past of last week, when I was updating you on how well I was doing at getting back into the groove of my old creative projects, and — to the surprise of absolutely no one — posited instead two new projects.**
To the additional surprise of absolutely no one, I am now announcing an entirely new project:
The BugVerse Experiment
I am conducting an extremely unscientific experiment about kids and their reaction to Bug, and I need probably 200 or so examples to test my hypothesis. Here’s how you can help:
If you have access to a child, let’s say ages 3–8, head over to the BugVerse page and download a Bug book. (At the time of this writing, only A Bug’s Lunch is available; the others are in progress and will be available soon-ish.) It’s free, and the book(s) are adorable.
Read the book to/with your reader and encourage your reader to draw on that last page to finish Bug’s adventure.
Take a photo or scan your reader’s artwork.
If your reader has signed it, you may place a piece of paper over the signature, or I can remove it electronically. Your reader will not be identified in any way.
Go to the submission form.
The submission is anonymous. Once you submit the form, there is no thread connecting the drawing to you.
That’s it. Other than a few generic, statistical questions, there’s nothing complicated about it.

** Just so you understand that I remain an exemplar of the Lichtenbergian process, here are the TASK AVOIDANCE techniques that I have used on each one. For Project M, I have made great strides in designing what I want my Galton Board journal to look like. For Project N, I have scanned three pages to check the quality of said scans, and they are not good. I will have to seek professional assistance.
