Fun Friday Resources

You know how you collect websites and put all those bookmarks into dropdown menus in your browser and they just keep piling up and you forget what is even in there?

No, just me?

I’m once again digging through my browser’s collected bookmarks to see what’s still useful and sharing them with you. And what could be more useful than a website to tell you how to Glue This To That?

Here’s one that I could have used just this morning if I had only been keeping up with these links: Print Friendly, which allows you to edit, sign, compress, and convert PDFs, and remove ads and extras from web pages before printing or saving them as PDFs.

In the same vein is Rasterbator, which allows you to “tile” an image into a full-size poster, i.e., you upload an image which you want to print on paper too large for your printer, and it gives you a PDF of printable pages that you can then trim and tape together for your poster. Not very elegant, but cheaper than having your local print shop do it and certainly cheaper than the beautiful large format, six-color printer I had in my media center back at Newnan Crossing Elementary.

Need a Good Movie to Watch? Full confession: I have never used this website, but it seemed like it might be useful to me and my Lovely First Wife at some point. I am a little put off by the new-since-I-bookmarked-it restriction of their recommendations of more highly-rated movies to a subscription, but those movies currently listed certainly are worth watching.

Have fun!
