Fun Friday Resources
/Three interesting articles this week, one useful, one thought-provoking, one just weirdly interesting.
Our useful article is about all the little tricks you can use to bend Google’s search engine to your will. (Most of them work in other search engines as well.) It’s a long article, but worth your time and attention. I knew a lot of these, being a retired elementary media specialist — no, really, I used to teach these to 3rd–5th graders. The host site, Card Catalog, has much much more help for researchers — check it out.
Our thought-provoking article, over at the Creative Independent, is entitled On refusing to abandon (most) projects, with the subhead “Product designer Simone Giertz discusses the power of problem-solving to overcome your creative blocks, mapping your feelings during the creative process and finding balance to prevent burnout.” What’s not to like?
Meanwhile, over at the Bodleian Library, you will discover that you didn’t know how much you needed to know about ancient Egyptian gravedigger families. As always, check out the rest of their site.
I’ll see you all this weekend at Southern Arc Dance’s show, Peter Rabbit & Friends, right? Because the first half of the program is Ten Little Waltzes, right?
