Fun Friday Resources

The 10th Muse allows you to search over 100,000 works of art from museums all over the world. The interface is interestingly interesting, and you can get pretty specific in your search: period, color, mood, medium, subject, etc.

I don’t often find myself opening PDFs from strangers, but if you do, you might want to check out Dangerzone, an app that will check out that PDF or Word document and disarm any malware embedded in it.

Full disclosure: I have not used the streaming service Kanopy — I’m not a big movie watcher — but it’s too good a resource not to share: If you have a public library card or a college/university ID, you can stream thousands of movies and documentaries. (Your library must offer Kanopy as one of their services, but there’s a tool for seeing if yours does on the site.)

Have a good weekend!
