Lichtenbergian Proposed Efforts 2025

For those just joining us, some background: At the Lichtenbergian Society Annual Meeting, the central RITUAL in the evening’s agenda is 1) having our Proposed Efforts for the past year read out to us from the record book and accounting for what we did or did not accomplish; and 2) recording our P.E. for the coming year.

Select and then learn a new music layout program

The two top contenders were MuseScore and Dorico, neither of which was intuitive. At the moment I’ve dug into Dorico and even reported a bug, but I’m nowhere close to using it as well as I did Finale. (It says something that if I type steinberg into the browser, it defaults to steinberg.help instead of .com.)

As I said last year, it depended on whether Southern Arc wouldn’t mind hosting a bawdy, hysterical comedy. They minded. Oh well, not a problem.
