AFK again...

I’ll be off the grid the rest of this week: it’s time once again for Alchemy, Georgia’s burn. Tomorrow I will load up a 15-foot rental truck with my camp’s infrastructure — canopies, kitchen, tents, labyrinth, bar — and head to Chattahoochee Hills just up the road.

When I get back next Monday, I’ll give a report on the thirty-nine art pieces scheduled to be installed. It’s a record number; kudos to our art lead and his team.

Technically, I already know there will be only thirty-eight, because our own GALAXY project is not going to make it due to power issues. (The hippies kept tripping over the rings, and when one wire breaks, the whole region goes out.) But we think we have a solution, just not enough time to get parts in from China and fix it before Wednesday.

This will be an interesting burn for me, since it will be the first time since 2016 that I was not the one designing the burn and placing All The Things. I will have to pay attention to the map and go exploring to find my friends, just like a regular hippie.

As I always said when I was Benevolent Placement Overlord™: IT’LL BE FINE.
