Not going to lie: I have no clue where Wolf Totem came from.

You know that stack of books by your bed? Now you can skip merrily away from it and load up your reading app with a whole ‘nother stack, because here’s a bunch of links to free reading material.

First up, the New York Public Library’s extensive public domain collection. I especially liked Collections for Designers and Nature Collections. I mean, who doesn’t want to browse “Groups of Cattle, Drawn from Nature, by T. S. Cooper, 1839”?

Then, from the Metropolitan Museum of Art, 50,000 books about art. I’m a costuming/historical dance aficionado, so the Costume Institute’s collection is a particular favorite.

Remember ‘zines? Have a bunch over at Independent Voices. (Or revisit the Pulp Magazine Archive if you like sci-fi/crime/tawdry.)

Perhaps you’re looking to catch up on your classics. Try the Top 100 Books on Gutenberg. Or, if you need to take it slow, head over to DailyLit and sign up to have books sent to you every day in small, digestible bits.

You’re welcome.
